With federal support consistently failing to keep up with the changing landscape of shared-use and technology-based mobility options, what role can governments play in ensuring these systems address equity, access, and carbon pollution? Last fall’s Disrupting Mobility Summit in Cambridge, Mass., brought together a number of experts from within federal and local agencies to how these changes can happen from within government, in the panel “Governing for Disruption.” The conversation featured Mobility Lab’s Communications Director Paul Mackie (jump to 12:50 in the video to see his opening remarks) alongside Nigel Jacob and Chris Osgood of Boston, Peter Marx of L.A., Bob Sheehan of U.S. DOT, Vincent Valdes of U.S. FTA, and MIT Media Lab’s John Clippinger.
