Capital Bikeshare
Capital Bikeshare has over 1,200 bicycles located at over 140 stations across Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA. Bicycles may be rented and returned to any convenient stations. Bikes could be used for to get to work, Metro, run errands, go shopping, or visit friends and family. Bikes are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The first 30 minutes of each trip are included in the membership fee. Each additional 30 minutes incurs an additional fee.
Arlington and the District of Columbia have worked closely to develop Capital Bikeshare. This system offers a greatly expanded regional service compared to the previous SmartBike D.C. system which opened in 2008.
Capital Bikeshare plans to continue to expand the network of bike stations in the region.
