As a field dominated by strategies to help people drive less (like marketing, transit benefits, and other behavioral nudges), transportation demand management (TDM) has long struggled with quantifying its results.
That gap is where the idea for the Transportation Cost-Savings Calculator (or the TDM return on investment calculator) comes in. Funded by the Federal Highway Administration and built by us, LDA Consulting, and the Center for Urban Transportation Research, the calculator enables TDM practitioners to measure the societal benefits of their programs.
Our research manager, Dr. Lama Bou Mjahed, co-hosted a webinar with Lori Diggins from LDA on how to use the calculator.
