I would like to share information about a very unique session I’m presiding over at this year’s Transportation Research Board (TRB) 92nd Annual Meeting.

The Six-Minute Pitch is a competition between four aspiring transportation entrepreneurs. they will each pitch their innovative transportation business ideas in just six minutes to a panel of four distinguished transportation entrepreneurs, including Chicago DOT Commissioner Gabe Klein and Avego Co-Founder Sean O’Sullivan.

While no actual investments will be made, at the end of each presentation the panelists will indicate whether they are “in” or “out” with the idea, and they can only choose two concepts that they’ll endorse. The session format is based on the television shows Shark Tank and The Dragon Den (from Ireland), which features O’Sullivan. I hope it is going to be both a very informative and fun session for everyone.

The session will held on Tuesday, January 15th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Omni Shoreham’s Regency Ballroom. I hope to see you there if you are attending TRB. Please share this information with those who may be interested, and find out more here.
